MATRIX JEWELLERY DESIGN SCHOLARSHIPS AJF Announces New Educational Program for 2018
The Armenian Jewellers Foundation announces new scholarships for Syrian-Armenian expatriates in Matrix Jewellery Design co-sponsored by the world’s leading jewellery company Stuller Inc.. This new program is implemented in collaboration with the École de gemmologie de Montréal (EGM), one of the prime jewellery academies in Canada. The curriculum is dedicated exclusively to the use of Matrix 3-D CAD software, which is the leading tool used to create jewellery designs since 2001.15 new scholarships will be awarded for a customized training course that will take place at EGM from August 7 to 11, 2018.
Gemvision, a subsidiary of Stuller’s group, recently released the new version of the world’ most advanced jewellery design suite Matrix 9.0. This software includes innovative features such as Smart Pattern, Clayoo 2.5 and the Updated Texture Builder. Interested candidates should submit their application forms (forma available at AJF and community centers) no later than July 25, 2018 to AJF. The upcoming AJF course will be delivered personally by Mr. Matt Bennett, Gemvision Corporation’s Sales and Training Director -- visiting from the US. Thanks to the AJF educational program, 122 scholarship grants were allocated to-date to deserving young students in collaboration with EGM and the Armenian Gemological Laboratory and Academy (AGLA) through the support of a number of generous donors and community organizations. The Armenian Jewellers Foundation was established in 2013 to advance the heritage of Armenians in jewellery. AJF's mission is to undertake historical research, document present-day success-stories and ensure the transfer of knowledge to the new generation. This scholarship program promotes new capacity in the jewellery and diamond manufacturing sector both in Armenia and the Diaspora.
