The Armenian Jewellers Foundation is an exciting new effort that will explore the global heritage of jewellery, discover key jewellers and their contribution to the industry and provide funds to establish educational programs and scholarship programs for young emerging jewellers from all over the world.
As we look back in time, there is a story to be told about every object, every road and every person. For the foundation, retracing the history of jewels and gems and the priceless objects on which they were adorned will allow us to look into a history that is rich with tales of love, loss and loyalty. The foundation will be exploring the origins of various unique objects from around the world that will undoubtedly enrich a history untold.
Researching the jewellery heritage will no doubt provide clues on ancient jewellery masters and their contribution to world gems and jewellery. Throughout history, jewellery masters have lived and worked in major city centers of the world significantly contributing to the development of the global jewellery and gems industry. Their stories and the tales of their masterpieces have yet to be discovered. The foundation will research and document the story of and history around these masters. This effort will shed light on trades of the old times, the powerful networks which made them successful and the role of jewellers in global history.
Preparing the next generation of industry leaders will no doubt require serious commitment today. History cannot be justified unless we educate the next generation and pass on our knowledge and expertise. The foundation will be establishing scholarship programs and educational programs for designers, gemologists and crafters in order to help young entrepreneurs learn the trade in the best programs.
